I AM Montenegro project

The IAM Montenegro Project was a collaborative initiative designed to address the lack of resources and opportunities for cultural professionals in Montenegro and the broader Western Balkans region.

The project aimed to foster growth and development in the arts and culture sector by connecting cultural professionals and providing opportunities for skill development. Its core focus was on empowering cultural professionals, supporting artists, and promoting knowledge exchange.

The project took a comprehensive approach, featuring Culture and Creativity Learning Labs that covered topics such as curatorial and artistic practice, community engagement, communication, production management, and business planning. In addition to the learning labs, the project also included the production of a representative exhibition and podcast discussions with art and cultural professionals.

The main objectives of the IAM Montenegro Project were to enhance the skills and knowledge of cultural professionals in the Western Balkans and support the artistic growth of female artists. This was achieved through the Culture and Creativity Learning Labs, which provided training in key areas, and through an exhibition in Montenegro entitled“Port of trust” that gave artists the opportunity to showcase their work. The project aimed to create a sustainable impact in the arts and culture sector, not just in Montenegro, but across Serbia and the wider Western Balkans region.
