In the first show of the radio programme “EU is here” we talked about one of the most demanding negotiating chapters, no. 27 – Environment.

What is the basis of environmental policy in the EU and what is the EU legislation; where are we in the negotiating process; what are the benefits of the membership when it comes to environmental protection; how much money does the state allocate for environmental protection and how much is necessary for reaching the European standards; when the citizens of Montenegro will be able to say that they live in a truly ecological state?

These and other questions were answered by the chief negotiator for chapter 27, State Secretary at the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism Ms Daliborka Pejovic and a member of the working group Natasa Kovacevic, from the NGO Green Home.

The radio show is delivered under the project "Communicating EU Accession and IPA Assistance in Montenegro". The project is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) and funded by the EU Delegation to Montenegro, the British Embassy Podgorica and the MFAEI.
