The British Council are working in partnership with the Association of Independent Music for their upcoming event AIM House. Each year, The Association of Independent Music hosts AIM House to provide a home and hub for independent music businesses at the global showcase festival / conference The Great Escape. Following the Great Escape 2020’s cancellation due to Covid-19, AIM are adapting their programming into a virtual event all livestreamed for free online on Friday 15 May.
The full day of programming from AIM includes panels, workshops and speed networking sessions covering the latest key issues and insights of the independent sector. Content for one of the four virtual ‘rooms’ will be delivered in partnership with Great Escape Conference programmers Complete Music Update.
Themes of discussion will focus on business areas that are still viable during Covid-19 – practical measures that attendees can learn from and enact straight away. Confirmed panel topics include ‘livestreaming for the long-term’, ‘building on viral success’ and a post-Covid-19 / Brexit visa workshop.
